Like our Hid-A-Bag container, the Discovery is a riveted assembly manufactured from powder coated galvanneal steel with stainless steel hinges to ensure extended durability. In its standard configuration, the Discovery features our decorative poly wood siding, which is actually made from recycled plastic that many of our containers help to collect!
The front load, front unload design allows the Discovery to be placed against the front of buildings. The lid can have a restrictor plate installed beneath it for collecting recyclables, or it can be replaced entirely with a recycling hood.
The Discovery is an animal proof container designed to prevent access to the garbage within by all types of wildlife including racoons, squirrels, skunks, and other rodents. The BearTight model has been certified bear resistant by the Interagency Grizzly Bear Committee (IGBC) following successful testing at the Grizzly Wolf & Discovery Center (GWDC) in West Yellowstone, Montana.
